Please follow these guidelines when creating and submitting your videos for CCO course content:
Video Content and Length
- Keep videos between 4-5 minutes long, with a strict maximum of 8 minutes
Technical Specifications
- Format: MP4
- Resolution: 1920×1080 (1080p) or higher
- Aspect ratio: 16:9
- Aim for a balanced audio level between -10 to -14 dB
How to Check and Adjust Video Settings:
- Resolution and Aspect Ratio:
- On Windows: Right-click the video file, select “Properties,” then the “Details” tab.
- On Mac: Right-click the video file, select “Get Info,” then expand the “More Info” section.
- Most modern smartphones and cameras default to 16:9 aspect ratio. Ensure your camera is set to 1920×1080 or higher before recording.
Visual Presentation (We know you know this, but just a reminder)
- Ensure good lighting to avoid shadows and maintain visibility
- Use a clean, professional background (either a tidy office space or a plain wall)
- Look directly into the camera to maintain eye contact with viewers
- Speak clearly and at a moderate pace
- Use natural hand gestures, but avoid excessive movement
Submission Process
- Name your file using the format: XXXX-XXX_SME Name_Topic_Date.mp4 (the XXXX-XXX is your course code)
- Upload your video to the designated shared Google Drive development folder
